Holiday 2012 Update:

IMPORTANT: We will continue to take holiday orders throughout December. Please allow 1 business day for receipt of an email proof (and an additional day for any edits you request beyond simple text changes). Once your proof has been approved, please allow up to two business days for printing before your order ships.

We strongly advise upgrading to Xpresspost shipping for orders placed in December. You may customize (or request customization) of any design to a general Winter, Season's or New Year's greeting.


 

 

Will my cards come with envelopes?

All card orders (except as noted below) include white envelopes.

A few exceptions:

  • Our line of "Little Valentine's cards" (for kids to hand out at school) do not come with envelopes and are not recommended for mailing
  • Our line of Personalized Notecards may be ordered with or without envelopes (envelopes are an additional $0.25 each)


What type of paper will my cards be printed on?

From photo paper to cardstock, we offer a variety of paper options to suit any style and taste.   If you are unsure of which paper choice is best for you, please send us an email and we would be happy to help you decide!  Please note that not all products are available on all paper types.    If you are interested in a paper option below that is not listed as an option for the product you are ordering, please let us know!

The Papers

  • Smooth Cardstock- A premium smooth white cardstock with a silk finish.   Printed on a digital press with real liquid ink, providing rich, saturated colours and crisp detail.
  • Pearl Cardstock -  A premium smooth cardstock with a shimmery, pearlescent finish.  Printed on a digital press with real liquid ink, providing rich, saturated colours and crisp detail.
  • Satin/Luster Photographic Paper - Real photographic prints on photo paper with a satin/luster finish, a favourite of many professional photographers.

 

What resolution should my photos be?

In order to ensure an excellent print quality for your final product, we recommend that your photos be a minimum of 1800 by 1200 pixels. All photos should be in jpeg format. Scanned photos should be scanned at a resolution of at least 300 dpi. If for any reason, we feel your photo quality is not suitable, we will notify you and give you the option of submitting alternate photos.


Can you convert my colour photos to black and white or sepia?

Absolutely.  If you would like your photos converted to black and white or sepia, please note this in the Comments section of your order, and our designer will professionally convert the photo(s) and provide an email proof for your approval prior to printing.


What kinds of photo editing are included in my order?

 Where necessary, we will brighten, adjust contrast or colour levels, and sharpen your photos to ensure optimal printing results.   Colour photos may be professionally converted to black and white or sepia, and we will perform other minor edits to your photos on request.   Please note that extensive photo editing (ie. background removal, removal of objects, extensive blemish removal, etc.) are not included in our services.


Can I submit professional photos for my order?

Yes – we love working with professional photographs, but you must have written permission or a copyright release from your photographer in order to use photos taken by him or her. We do not under any circumstances, accept scanned professional photos – you must obtain the full resolution digital images from your photographer and submit those in order for us to use them.


Will I receive a preview or a proof of my design prior to printing?

Our website is equipped with powerful personalization and preview software, which allows you to add your own text and/or photos to any product and view a live preview of your design online.  This is your proof.  When you have finished personalizing your design, you will be asked to initial it to approve it for printing.   Please note that a professional designer reviews each and every order and may make minor changes (ie. text alignment, photo enhancement, etc.) to ensure optimal printing. You may also request an email proof in the comments section of  the Customizer, however since you are already seeing the live proof when you create your order this may delay processing by 1-2 business daysWe normally send an e-proof to you via email for approval if your order amount is high (i.e 100+ cards) or if our designer feels it is necessary to make changes for the card look it's best.


Can I request changes to the designs available online?

We are happy to accommodate your requests for customization of most designs.

Minor design modifications and photo touchups are included with your order at no additional charge. Examples: Photo touchups, minor modifications to layout, requests to change a design colour, etc.  Please note any minor design modification requests on your order form.

 

Extensive editing or changes to a design may be accommodated as well for a $15 design fee to cover additional design time.   Examples: extensive photo editing (ie. background removal etc.); extensive or multiple layout and/or design changes.    Please email us in advance of ordering to ensure your customization requests are possible.

 

 

How long will it take to receive my order?

Please allow 2-4 business days for order processing and printing before your order ships. 

We ship anywhere in Canada via Canada Post, and offer two options for shipping of your order.
  • Standard:  4-9 business days ($10 flat rate)
  • Xpress: 2-4 business days ($20 flat rate)
  • RUSH orders may be accomodated on request - additional charges may apply.  Please contact us for a quote.

***Please note*** The turnaround times noted above are based an order placed using our online personalization/preview software (adding your own photos, text etc.) and for which no alterations are needed prior to printing.  If there are issues with your order which must be corrected prior to printing (eg. text extending past the edge of the design, poor photo quality, etc.) OR if you submit any special requests with your order which require a designer's time, expertise, and correspondence please allow TWO BUSINESS DAYS for our designers to make any necessary changes and provide you with a proof via email.   In cases in which an email proof is required, your order will not print until we receive your approval
